With his free hand, Jesus gestures to the Apostle at his right, possibly Judas. Two other priests watch from the foreground. In the enclosed garden of Gethsemane, Jesus stands behind the seated Peter, James, and John, one of whom is asleep. Jesus touches the head of one of the wakeful apostles.
