A letter from General William Franklin Draper to his son Clare Hill Draper written from the Embassy of the United States in Rome while he was the Ambassador to Italy. The letter talks about his views on life and what his son should consider as he plans for his future. He stresses commitment and duty to the community. General William Franklin Draper was the Ambassador to Italy from 1896-1899.
