A letter from Lydia Warren Joy Draper to her son William Franklin Draper Jr. William Franklin Draper Jr., born in 1865, was her first child from her marriage with General William Franklin Draper. The letter is written to ease his pain when he finds out about her appending death from an illness. In the letter she tells him to trust in his own goodness and powers, how much she believes in him, how she does not fear death and her describes her belief in an afterlife. Lydia Draper died in 1884.
