At the Locusts, Staatsburg on the Hudson, NY. President U.S. Grant visiting the Dinsmore family. Playing chess with the president is Mrs. W.B. Dinsmore, born Helen Frances Adams. She is the daughter of Alvin, President of Adams Express Company, and Ann Rebecca (Bridge) Adams, and married in 1866 to William B. Dinsmore, secretary of the company and son of the man who succeeded Mr. Adams as its chief executive. circa 1870-75.
