Description

On a corner lot of Waverly and Orchard Streets. This was the location of the original James Russell Lowell School at the corner of Orchard and White Streets. . It became the North Branch Library in 1925 when the school moved to its current location at the corner of Orchard and George Streets. That building was demolished in 1940 to make way for the new North Branch Library.
