Circulation desk, photographer is facing the Hunnewell Room. A 1900 portrait of Solon Whitney hangs to the right of the door to the Hunnewell Room. Keats by Anne Whitney is in the Hunnewell Room on the top shelf. Photograph display on the left is of historical buildings of Watertown. The door on the right behind the desk is the entrance to the Director's office. The spiral staircase behind the right column is painted white while in 2012 it is painted black. Light fixture in front of the fireplace has changed.
