Phillips Academy -- Alumni and Alumnae

The band would begin the year as a marching band for the football games and change to a concert band when the season ended. The marching band performed many different formations usuall reflecting the tune being performed. For instance at the 1954 Exeter game the band formed a surrey while playing "Surrey with the Fringe on Top' and the letters "A" and "E" when playing the two school songs.
