The Abbot Homestead is also referred to as Abbot House (old) and the Abbot Farm. It is located on 9 Andover Street and has been lived in since its erection in 1685. Benjamin Abbot declared his neighbor Martha Allen Carrier to be a witch having threatened him and causing an open sore on his side. In August she was hanged. These are a photograph of the front of the house, an unknown artist's rendering of the same view, and a photograph of the rear of the house including the contented cows of the Abbots.
