A photograph of three of Robert H. Goddard's assistants placing a rocket in the launch tower for a test flight on February 16, 1935 near Roswell, New Mexico. Dr. Goddard was an instructor and professor of Physics at Clark University from 1914 until 1943 and is known as the father of modern rocketry.
