This photograph shows Capt. Charles E.Tileston, Civil War commander of Co. I, 52nd Mass. Infantry, outside his house in the Searsville district of Williamsburg, Mass., about 1900-1902. Seated in his handsome surrey is one of his granddaughters, either Maria Evelyn Bisbee or Inez Wells Bisbee. The image measures 4 x 5 inches and appears to be a copy print made from the 1900-1902 original, the size of which is unknown.
