Description

Carriage and harness makers Henry D. Haynes covering a carriage seat while in the foreground his father, Henry Haynes works on a harness. Henry Haynes began making and repairing carriages and wagons in Sturbridge center in 1834.

In 1890 they began offering Aeromotor Wind Engines and vehicle repair in the dwindling carriage market. Previously named H & M Haynes, the shop closed about 1910 under the name H. Haynes & Son.
