Description
Residence of Aaron H. Pease (d. 1948), at Sayles Street extension. View of the side and front of the house is given. This house later became the home of George Dumas. Two story dwelling with an elegant porch attractively covered with creeper. Shutters adorn the windows. A bay window protrudes from the side of the house, where some flowers are growing underneath. It's Victorian-era is evidenced by the gingerbread carving and detail. A woman is shown standing on the porch. Mr. Pease was born in Middletown, Connecticut. He was a photographer for the American Optical Company in Southbridge, for almost 50 years, retiring in 1938. The library has a number of his photographs in the collection.
