Interior view of the stage area of the Blanchard Theater, taken from the balcony. Decorative stage curtain and stage set on view. Scene in background of a lake with a nearby staircase. Ornate tin ceiling with multilamp light fixture featured overhead. The theater was owned by the Blanchard Brothers. According to a promotional flyer: "Blanchard's New Theatre - Modern, Up-to-date, Ground Floor, Fireproof. Playing the best of road attractions, High Class Vaudeville and Motion Pictures. Our motto: "The best at all times at any price." There were five brothers: Fred H., Sol E., William N., Arthur A. and Lousi L. Located on the southwest corner of Main and Elm streets. There was a house orchestra that provided music for the films. Several fires were reported over the years, but finally in 1927, a fire destroyed the theater.
