Four of the librarians from the Jacob Edwards Library are seen between the trees, while standing on the lawn. Two staff members are standing and two are crouched down in front, with one holding the black library cat. The women wear blouses with long sleeves, long skirts and their hair swept up. The library staff were listed in the Annual Report of 1916 as Ella E. Miersch, Librarian, assisted by Mabel W. Plimpton and Ruth Beecher. The subjects in this view are unidentified. A glimpse of a two family house with porch is provided on the right.
