Description
The children are identified as Louise Chapin Morse and Sally Chapin Paige with their pony Topsy. They are sitting in the carriage covered with a blanket, at the curb in front of a house with shutters. One of them holds a whip. The residence they are in front of has a porch complete with hammock. Intricate wooden detailing covers the foundation. An outdoor shed is viewable in the background. Laundry hangs from a line in the garden. Detail of an ornate wooden railing at the side of the house is provided.
