View of the north side of Main Street and the corner of Central Street. Horse and carriage traveling west on Main Street. Group of men standing chatting outside Hartwell's Pharmacy, run by Samuel Hartwell, Apothecary. Two women are walking towards the group of men. The original balcony over the main entrance can be seen with a pestle and mortar advertising the business. Many of the buildings have striped awnings. Universalist church is in the distance and is recognizable by its original steeple. There is a water hydrant on the opposite corner to the Hartwell building, near the electricity poles.
