Description
Images of Jennie E. Howard (Class of 1866) published in Her memoir, In Distant Climes and Other Years, 1931. Howard, Elizabeth B. Coolidge (1864) and Edith Howe (1867) formed a pioneering group of women educators who founded normal schools in Argentina, starting in 1883, at the request of Argentinean educator Domingo Sarmiento. Howard died in Buenos Aires in 1930.
