Description

The cutting, stitching and lasting room of the Allen Squire Company on the top floor of the Green building on Cherry Street. The Allen Squire Company was a manufacturer of boots and shoes in Spencer, Massachusetts until 1921. The offices moved from Cherry Street to the East Main Street Factory in 1918, but after the increased work due to World War I, the boot and shoe industry suffered a post war depression and the company was forced to close in 1921.
