Ed Wheelock with oxen and horses at the Ward homestead
circa 1890. Mr. Wheelock was hired by Henry Galbraith Ward as property
manager for the Ward family. Under Wheelock's management, the homestead
was a productive dairy farm well into the twentieth century.
