  • – View towards East Main Street taken from the hill behind the District Eight School and the Odd Fellows Hall and the adjacentHolmes farm property. Across East Main Street from the District Eight School are the High School, the Hyde property, the rectory of St. Anthony'sChurch and the church. The priest at the time was Father Patrick O'Reilly. The rectory was relocated during the construction of the WachusettReservoir to 29 Central Street. The Fraternity of Odd Fellows Hall was relocated to 7 Newton Street. Circa 1895-1905.

Cowee's Grist Mill and house

  • – View across the valley below the Baptist (Old Stone) Church. To the left of the image are the buildings of the Cowee GristMill, owned by Edward A. Cowee, and the Cowee Bridge over which passes Holbrook Street and under which passes the South Branch of the NashuaRiver. The land in the foreground has been cleared making way for the construction of the Wachusett Reservoir. In the middle of the image are thehomes of George Hildreth (at the corner of the road leading to Oakdale) and then further on that road George Reed's organ shop and house. Atthe top of the hill are the Baptist parsonage and the Baptist (Old Stone) Church with the Pierce house opposite. Circa 1895-1905
