Elvis doodles
description- – A doodle of the word"Elvis"written many times and in different sizes by W. Joseph Carr. Joseph Carr was a noted furniture designer, artist, cartoonist and sculptor from Gardner, Massachusetts. He worked mainly for Heywood-Wakefield as a furniture designer from 1936 till it closed its doors in 1979, but he also did freelance work for other furniture companies and by request for all types of items. Whether this doodle was for a request for a design or for his own a amusement is not known.

description- – A doodle of a stirrup drawn by W. Joseph Carr. The main stirrup has"polo"written on it and"Pony or Chukker"written underneath. Joseph Carr was a noted furniture designer, artist, cartoonist and sculptor from Gardner, Massachusetts. He worked mainly for Heywood-Wakefield as a furniture designer from 1936 till it closed its doors in 1979, but he also did freelance work for other furniture companies and by request for all types of items. Whether this doodle was for a request for a newly designed stirrup, and if that design was ever made, is not known.

S. Bent&Brothers, Inc. napkin sketches
description- – Napkin drawings of the S. Bent&Brothers, Inc. building and articles with SB on it by W. Joseph Carr. The front side of the napkin has a drawing in pen of the S. Bent Factory. On the back side are various articles with the SB logo on them, including a candlestick, drawn in pencil. S. Bent&Brothers, Inc. was started in 1867 by Samuel, Charles and Roderic Bent in Gardner, Massachusetts after Samuel Bent left the Heywood-Wakefield Company. They made colonial chairs, rockers, children's chairs, and, in 1920s-1950s, breakfast sets and institutional furniture. One of their specialties was the college and university chair. S. Bent&Brothers, Inc. closed in 2001.
