  • – View of the West Boylston Town Hall decked in bunting with a large American flag hanging from the upper story balcony. This building was along the route of the Coaching Parade beginning at the High School. The route was then by the way of Crescent, Central and Worcester Streets to Maple Street, thence countermarching to the Common, where the route was continued down Worcester Street to Prospect Street, up Prospect Street to Newton, and thence out Newton Street to the Common, where the judges, Harry W. Smith of Worcester, Warren Goodale of Clinton, and Louis M. Hanff of Turland, awarded prizes for the most attractive equipage.

The original building was moved on runners to this site from the Lower Village during the building of the Wachusett Reservoir and was later remodeled with a second story added. In 1939 the building (the Red&White Store, ca. 1930) burned along with adjoining buildings.

Both buildings are decorated with large flags and bunting. The Electric Light Co. occupied the upper floor until the new light department building was constructed in 1938. This building burned to the ground along with the market and apartment next door.
