Infantile Paralysis Memorandum

• – This is a memorandum from Simmons College President Henry Lefavour asking students to bring potential exposure to infantile paralysis (polio) to his attention, and to refrain from coming to campus.
• – "SIMMONS COLLEGE / BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS / September 5, 1916. / THE regular session of Simmons College will open on September 20th, as announced in the catalogue. / Students from houses in which there has been a case of infantile paralysis during the vacation, or who have been in the immediate neighborhood of such a case are required to send to the President astatement of all the facts bearing on the possible exposure to the contagion and not to come to the College until permission is received. / HENRY LEFAVOUR, President."
